baby cardigan number 2Posted: 01/05/2013
I managed to get this little baby cardigan started and finished in just a few days – which felt like a near-miracle that I can only put down to the ‘nesting’. I had already used the pattern and knew it worked (see previous post here) and that I could complete it so decided to knit another version but this time in this copper coloured yarn from Marigold Jen – it was so nice to work with – (this being my second attempt at knitting with it as I mis-calculated the amount of yarn I would need for my first attempt so had to unravel it all and start again)
I’m hoping that there will be enough yarn left to make a little pair of booties to match though I keep looking at patterns and then get put off by instructions I find too difficult – I need to hunt out a really simple pattern from somewhere – I’m sure ravelry will be able to help.
There is something so satisfying about making something from nothing to help keep our baby warm for the Winter months, possibly the thought process of nurturing for our baby in advance, I’m not sure – but whatever it is – it’s a nice feeling.
