Mount Barker Waldorf School FetePosted: 26/10/2013
I found out this morning that today was the day of the Mount Barker Waldorf School Fete, so we got ourselves ready and drove to Mount Barker for a lovely day in the sunshine.
There were so many different food stalls to get around along with lots of musical performances and even may-pole dancing. We munched on some hummus, falafel and tabbouleh wraps, and drank some strong coffee whilst Tabitha enjoyed an avocado-chocolate ice cream.
There were plenty of activities for the children and the grounds and school buildings were just beautiful. With the beautiful surroundings and views for miles across rolling hills out of the classroom windows I think I would have been a day-dreamer staring out of the window if I went to this school!
My personal highlight was the Japanese room which was so authentic for a moment I could imagine I was back in Japan. There were all sorts of traditional Japanese crafts, teas, and decoration and Tabitha was excited to say ‘konnichiwa’ to the man working inside (we have been talking about different languages just this week at home).
Anyway I’ll let the pictures do the talking
(I kind of enjoyed myself too much and forgot to take a lot of photos. oops!) Looking forward to the next fete already!
